LUXURY MAGAZINE UNVEILS ITS SPRING 2017 ISSUE: Art & Design
The issue celebrates the artful side of design, glassmaking and more
NEW YORK, NY, MARCH 2, 2017 LUXURY MAGAZINE, the quarterly publication available exclusively for Luxury CardTM holders, unveiled its Spring 2017 issue today, which features an Art & Design theme. The premium publication offers news, trends and stories across all categories of luxury lifestyle, from travel and fashion to home design, real estate and technology.
Highlights from the Spring issue include profiles on top automotive, motorcycle, yacht, and aviation designers; shopping and craft trips in the world’s best art and design regions and adventure itineraries that include stays at chic retreats from architects like Piet Boon, Todd Avery Lenahan, and Bill Bensley. Fashion editorial highlights feature artistic monochromatic pallets photographed by world-renowned fashion photographer Ruven Afanador, whose work also just appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and styled by Isabel Dupré, former Elle fashion editor. Model Laura Love, a classically trained ballerina, puts her dance background to good use, leaping and jumping through the pages, as the shoots track her and model/pro surfer Albert Reed through Los Angeles’s top museums in the latest fashions from Brunello Cucinelli, Bottega Veneta, Ralph Lauren, and more. The Art & Design issue also invites readers to indulge in the art of Japanese cuisine as well as the art of the martini.
LUXURY MAGAZINE is published by Luxury Card. The readership is comprised of affluent men and women across the United States with an average HHI of $715,325. The readership is a 51/49 percent male/female split, all with an interest in quality and service. Led by editor in chief and former Robb Report editor, Samantha Brooks, the publication features world-class editorial and offers a range of luxury categories in every issue, each with a seasonal theme and focus.
“Our Spring issue delves deep into the appreciation of hands-on craftsmanship and the artful side of design, glassmaking, and more. Spring sparks inspiration and marks the start of a new beginning. In this issue, features of creative visionaries inspire readers to reimagine possibilities,” said Samantha Brooks. “As many begin to plan summer getaways, the issue also features shopping and craft trips in the world’s best art and design regions. With design top of mind, we also explore chic, yet adventurous resorts – from the Maldives to Thailand to Bonaire.”
Additional features from the Spring 2017 Art & Design issue:
Each issue of LUXURY MAGAZINE highlights an artist’s work and includes an exclusive feature story. The Spring 2017 featured artist profile is Gerhard Richter. With a career that spans nearly six decades, this issue features insightful interviews with Richter’s peers and associates. Leading experts also share first-hand insights that breathe fresh life into one of the art world’s greatest living and most elusive talents.
Innovative artists often crave a home that features their spirit of adventure and quirkiness. In the Spring issue, the LUXURY MAGAZINE editors reveal first-hand looks at the ephemeral homes of famed Hollywood producers, jewelry designers, singers, artists, and creative minds from around the world. From the US to Singapore, editors dissect creative license that brilliantly resists conformity.
Monochromatic moments make a statement for the season as fashion editorial invites readers to explore spring’s latest trends – from handbags, shoes, and other timeless leather essentials – to workout gear and statement monochromatic moments. World-renowned fashion photographer Ruven Afanador photographs spring’s reimagined color pallets styled by prominent fashion stylist Isabel Dupré.
The quarterly publication is available exclusively for Luxury Card holders and is primed to spotlight the following topics throughout 2017:
Summer: Travel & International Destinations
